Small Groups

Who We Are:

The small group team is a group of JMU students committed to encouraging and equipping the small group leaders to make Christ their first love, to teach God's Word effectively, to share their faith, and then to transfer those truths to others who will labor for Christ.

What We Do:

As a team, we help students get involved in small groups by providing opportunities for students to sign up to be in a Bible study and then giving them the contact information of a leader. We also care for the small group leaders by regularly praying for their needs, hosting encouragement meetings, and providing resources to aid them in leading.

Get Involved:

Why should you join a small group Bible study? In order to be "built" into a Christ-centered man or woman who will be "sent" out into the world with a solid Biblical foundation and a growing personal relationship with Christ. Small groups also provide awesome fellowship, opportunities to dig into the Word on a deeper level, and the chance to be discipled by a leader. Please visit either the Freshman Small Groups or Upperclassmen Small Groups page for information about available small groups this year.

You can also get involved by being a part of the Small Group Servant Team. Contact Dwain Young at youngdr@jmu.edu if you would like more information or have any questions.

Additionally, you can get involed by applying to be a Small Group Leader. Small Group Leader application are made available and due in the second half of the Spring Semester. Applications and other resources can be found on the Resources page.
